As one of the world’s largest computer manufacturers, HP (Hewlett-Packard) produces a massive variety of computers – from entry-level desktops up to the 9000-series servers and beyond – and the peripherals that go with them.

Following a merger with Compaq in 2002, HP acquired the rights to all of Compaq’s brands including Presario notebooks and desktops and ProLiant servers. In many cases both HP and Compaq lines are sold side by side. For example HP’s notebook range is currently based around its traditional Pavilion line as well as a number of machines marketed under the Presario line, although in the past the Omnibook range also proved to be successful.

In the desktop arena, HP has over the years sold machines such as the Brio, Vectra and Kayak but is currently concentrating on the Pavilion, DX2400, DC5800 and DC7900 series machines.

HP is also well-known for its extensive line of printers – more specifically the DeskJet inkjets and the LaserJet laser printers.

In August 2011 HP announced its intention to withdraw from the PC and tablet markets. Despite this, you can rest assured that Rivermain will continue to supply HP products to our customers for as long as there is demand for them.
